Shoreditch Snapshot, August 2012

Shoreditch, an area of London in the London Borough of Hackney, is regarded as one of London’s most creative and vibrant areas. It is home to hundreds of design studios, tech companies, galleries, independent shops, bars and restaurants.

Having worked and lived in Shoreditch since early 2009, I’ve been able to directly experience the area’s continuous transformation and growth.

Now, in August 2012, as I’m about to end my nine-year London adventure, I’ve dedicated 48 hours to producing a brief photographic record of Shoreditch. Taken for both personal and historical reasons, the photographs capture many of the area’s iconic streets, buildings and places.
